The Left Are Pro-Choice On Exactly One Thing
It would seem to me that efforts to ban gas stoves would be a reason to vote for Donald Trump, to keep the government regulators out of our kitchens and our homes.
It seems that Our Betters actually do want to ban gas ranges, at least for Other People. Mrs Hochul, who has a guesstimated net worth of $2,000,000, uses gas ranges at both New York’s executive mansion and her personal home in Buffalo, but she doesn't you to have the luxury that she has. I previously noted that we went without sparktricity for 28½ hours, but that our 2018 remodel, which included a propane range, water heater, and fireplace meant that we stayed warm, and could bathe, and cook. Had we been living in a brand new home in upstate New York, Mrs Hochul would have simply said, "Too bad, so sad, must suck to be you!"…READ MORE…
New admission from Jack Smith’s team could derail classified document case against Trump
The entire case smacks of a set-up, which is why Trump’s legal team has rightly filed several motions to dismiss it based on “selective and vindictive prosecution.”
Special counsel Jack Smith’s team admitted in a motion filed with the U.S. District Court in the Southern District of Florida on Friday that key evidence seized during the FBI raid on former President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago estate in August 2022 may have been manipulated. Specifically, the documents are no longer in the same sequence they were in at the time they were removed from the property.
The motion emphasized the painstaking process the government filter team used in handling the documents. The prosecutors informed Judge Aileen Cannon, who is presiding over the case, that the “team took care to ensure that no documents were moved from one box to another, but it was not focused on maintaining the sequence of documents within each box.” …READ MORE…
Campus Protests Then and Now
It's shocking to see hundreds of college students on any one campus supporting the barbarian savages who committed the October 7th massacre, rapes, and kidnappings.
As the Pro-Hamas protests at Columbia remind me of the Pro-Viet Cong and NVA protests at Columbia over 50 years ago, I recalled a movie that seemed to capture the times back then – “The Strawberry Statement.” Watching it again reinforced what I thought back then. Plus, it really looks like everyone making the movie was high. The bottom line is both protests are expressions of youthful ignorance fueled by young exuberance.
It's shocking to see hundreds of college students on any one campus supporting the barbarian savages who committed the October 7th massacre, rapes, and kidnappings. It’s damning to see college professors support the same. It’s confusing to see the wide ranges of college administration responses from appeasement to enforcing the rules…READ MORE…
FTC passes a law; Why have a Congress when the bureaucracy legislates?
The Federal Trade Commission passed a law that makes it illegal for a person to agree with his employer not to compete against them when he leaves.
The Federal Trade Commission passed a law that makes it illegal for a person to agree with his employer not to compete against them when he leaves. Usually compensation is involved. These are called noncompete agreements — a contract between two private parties. Why this is any of the government’s business is beyond my powers of comprehension. The constitutionality of this ban also escapes me.
Congress should make law — not a group of befuddled bureaucrats and a panel of politically appointed pinheads…READ MORE…
