Once upon a time, not too long ago, America found itself in the throes of an era best described as “The Great Babysitting Experiment.” It was a time when the government was less of a functioning entity and more of an overprotective helicopter parent, hovering over its citizens with a checklist of dos and don’ts, a stack of participation trophies, and an ever-expanding collection of safe spaces.
