Gods, Cattle and the 2024 General Election
It’s now eight months before the general election, and I find myself plagued not at all by the obvious question…will it be Trump or Biden? Instead, I find myself asking: Will they let Trump win?
The motto of the current Democrat Party is clearly Quod licet Iovi, non licet bovi, which may be loosely translated as "Gods may do what cattle may not". The American people are in this case the cattle, and the Democrat establishment clearly sees itself as above any constraints at all. All you have to do to see this is to consider the extraordinary number of indictments leveled against Trump, the hundreds of serious charges leveled at people who literally did nothing but enter the Capitol on January 6, the lawfare aimed at anyone who offered legal advice to Trump, or the cases brought against electors who supported him. And this does not even run the full gamut of what has been done…READ MORE…
Lawyer Up Republicans! Either start suing Biden or shut the hell up
Do Republicans even have lawyers? What good are Trump-appointed judges if you never bother using them.
Late Friday night, Sarah Parshall Perry of the Heritage Foundation wrote, “The Department of Education just released its long-delayed Title IX rule—a rewrite of the 50-year-old civil rights law so vast that it promises to turn Title IX’s guarantee of sex equality in education completely upside down.
“Title IX of the Education Amendments Act of 1972 is all of a single sentence. It simply bars sex discrimination in any federally funded education program. It does not matter how much federal funding a school or institution of higher education receives. And it does not matter whether such funding from the federal government is direct or indirect. So yes, even the vast majority of private schools must comply with the rule.
“But this simple longstanding prohibition on sex discrimination has been manipulated by the Biden administration to both undermine constitutional freedoms—like the freedom of speech—and erase the very women that Title IX was enacted to protect.”
Most of the attention to this unconstitutional legislation by a president — not Congress — has focused on turning over women’s sports to trannies and drag queens…READ MORE…
It’s Just Some Words…
The current debate at our Nation’s first service academy, the United States Military Academy at West Point, is over the removal of those three “hallowed words, Duty, Honor, Country" (the West Point motto since 1898), from the Mission Statement.
Duty, Honor, Country. Those three hallowed words reverently dictate what you ought to be, what you can be, what you will be. They are your rallying point to build courage when courage seems to fail, to regain faith when there seems to be little cause for faith, to create hope when hope becomes forlorn.
~Gen Douglas MacArthur
I remind you that we have also seen the Cadet Honor Code converted to an “aspirational goal,” which many cadets apparently cannot achieve, aren't expected to really aspire to, and nobody enforces when they don't.
We have seen drug abuse; we have had communist supporting cadets allowed to graduate (yes, Cadet Rapone was only one of them); removal of historic names, statues and nomenclature which may possibly offend slaves, or people who don’t know history; cadets allowed to become “non-binary” …READ MORE…
Exploring Cultural Shifts: From Traditional Masculinity to Modern Weakness and Wokeism
The quote "Hard times create strong men, strong men create good times, good times create weak men, and weak men create hard times" remains relevant today.
Throughout history, the ideal of the "manly man" has been admired—an image of physical strength, resilience, and assertiveness. However, our contemporary society has witnessed shifts in these ideals, placing greater emphasis on acknowledging vulnerabilities, emotional intelligence and other weaknesses.
Today, while we still value strength and resilience in some sporting events, there is a growing understanding that these qualities can sometimes manifest as violence, which is detrimental. This shift reflects a more nuanced view of masculinity, appreciating traits like adaptability, empathy, and the courage to challenge outdated norms of violence. Our culture openly embrace weakness…READ MORE…
