Freedom Requires Personal Responsibility
Six years ago, my wife and I moved from Minnesota to Idaho. I tell people that we moved to escape the oppression of the Democrat Farm Labor party (Minnesota’s version of the Democrat party). While we were happy to leave the state of Governor “Communism is Just Being Neighborly,” a bigger factor in our decision was to be closer to our grandchildren. Other than the color of our state on the electoral maps, we didn’t expect things to feel much different – we’re all free Americans after all. We were wrong. We had been living in a socialist bubble for so long, that we didn’t realize what freedom actually is. …READ MORE…
DOGE Didn’t Kill STARBASE—The Truth Did (Part 1)
The Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) didn’t kill STARBASE because it was wasteful—it killed it because it was an easy target. While bloated bureaucracies and useless spending continue unchecked, a STEM program that actually helped kids got the axe under the guise of “efficiency.” But here’s the thing: STARBASE wasn’t just about education—it was a military recruitment tool. WATCH: Trump Aides Defend Gaza Takeover Proposal, Bank of England Rate Cut Bets | The Opening Trade 02/06
Aides to President Donald Trump sought to tone down his idea of depopulating and taking over Gaza after his suggestion that the US would “own” the war-ravaged territory was welcomed in Israel but widely condemned elsewhere. No one, including Israel, was expecting Trump’s public suggestion on Tuesday that his country step in and rebuild the coastal Palestinian territory, creating what he called a new “Riviera.” The Bank of England is expected to cut interest rates for a third time on Thursday while downgrading its UK growth forecasts and predicting higher inflation this year in a report that will make uncomfortable reading for Chancellor of the Exchequer Rachel Reeves. Economists and traders expect the Monetary Policy Committee to press ahead with a quarter-point reduction in its benchmark rate to 4.5%, the lowest level since June 2023. A survey by Bloomberg suggests the vote will be split 8-1 in favor of a cut. The Opening Trade has everything you need to know as markets open across Europe. With analysis you won’t find anywhere else, we break down the biggest stories of the day and speak to top guests who have skin in the game. Hosted by Anna Edwards, Guy Johnson and Kriti Gupta. …WATCH HERE…
Policy, Prosecutions, and the Biden-Harris Regime
Let’s say that one party holds the White House for one term, and is followed by a term in which the other party holds the White House.
For four long years, the first party raised tax rates higher than the other party wanted; the first party set lower sentencing guidelines for convicted criminals than the other party wanted, the first party was nicer to our enemies and ruder to our allies than the other party wanted… and then there was an election, and the two parties swapped power. …READ MORE…
The Dirty Word
Suicide is a dirty word. Try using it in mixed company. Try using “suicide” at a dinner party. You wouldn’t. Because suicide is not something people talk about.
In fact, I wouldn’t be surprised if you’ve already quit reading this. I know I have. …READ MORE…
