Congressional Spending Goes Full Weimar
So long as Congress continues its multi-trillion-dollar deficit spending, we will have a financial death spiral, similar to events a century ago in the Weimar Republic of Germany.
It has become a speculative game in the blogosphere to predict what black swan calamities could lead to a breakdown in civil order and the imposition of some form of martial law. Wars and rumors of war abound. We have already seen a container ship mysteriously knocking down a bridge and closing a key port. Other such scenarios include massive cyber-attacks that shut down the grid and block communication and transportation networks nationwide. The speculation on the variations of such events is virtually endless.
However, one crisis is no black swan and is entirely expected, already happening, and growing in scale by the day. That would be the ballooning debt crisis. If Washington does not change its free-spending ways, the debt will become a catastrophe of devastating proportions that will tear the nation apart. Things The Left "Knows," That Just Aren't True
Here is but a partial list of the various “truths” promulgated by the leftists who believe that solipsism is a valid substitute for syllogism:
Those who know me know that I enjoy “mixing it up” with leftists in sites which they tend to favor, including “The Hill,” “PBS News Hour,” and others. ( I used to enjoy debates on “Occupy Democrats,” but they blocked me in 2022.) I regularly post a series on my Facebook page entitled “My Adventures with the Left.” I am currently up to Part 34 of such posts. This is but a partial list of the various “truths” promulgated by the leftists who believe that solipsism is a valid substitute for syllogism:
1 There are more than two genders.
2 Native Americans have a different concept of gender and gender is a "Western construct."
3 Gender is fluid. People must use someone’s preferred pronouns or be fired and permanently cancelled
Strategic Analysis: Key Tactics in Modern Warfare
In the realm of modern warfare, success often hinges on the mastery of seemingly simple yet crucial tactics, where overlooking details can prove fatal.
In the realm of modern warfare, success often hinges on the mastery of seemingly simple yet crucial tactics, where overlooking details can prove fatal. Take, for instance, the Israeli Army's strategic choice of eschewing camouflage patterns on their uniforms—a deliberate move that sets them apart from the US military's misstep in 2005.
Regrettably, our various branches of the US armed forces adopted varied uniform patterns, creating a disjointed visual landscape. The Marines embraced digital camouflage, the Army chose a universal pattern, the Navy introduced blueberry uniforms, and the Air Force adopted tiger stripes. This diversity inadvertently contributed to confusion on the battlefield, underscoring the importance of uniformity and clarity in combat scenarios. For instance, in the heat of battle, a 19-year-old soldier facing intense fear and uncertainty is more likely to err on the side of caution, perceiving a different uniform as a potential threat and taking preemptive action.
The Israeli Army's decision reflects a broader understanding of the importance of clear visual identification in combat scenarios. This approach stands in contrast to the US military's experience, where distinct uniform designs across branches led to hesitations and misunderstandings in critical moments…READ MORE…
The Tales of Little Pavel: Episode 24: Little Pavel and the Orange Jumpsuits
An idealistic teenager, living in the 51st ward of a fictional city in middle America, volunteers at the local party headquarters, and learns a lesson or two about modern urban politics.
in this episode, young Pavel returns to 51st Ward Party HQ for a deep question: should felons be able to vote?
Pavel Syerov Jr. had been away at college, so he hadn’t stopped by the 51st Ward Party Headquarters in quite awhile. But he was home for the weekend, doing errands for his folks, when he found himself driving past Headquarters, and noticed that he had time to kill. He had a daunting essay to write for his Comparative Political Science class the next week, and writer’s block had hit; perhaps stopping by to see Pockets and The Boss might give him some ideas?
So he parked, covered up his purchases with a spare jacket and blanket that the family kept in the car for this very purpose (this is the Big City, after all; no need to tempt fate), locked the car, and walked over to the familiar mid-block storefront.
Just as he approached, he saw three unusual-looking characters departing…READ MORE…
